So first off, let me apologize to my
three loyal readers for not writing anything much these past few months. I’ve now become more accustomed to my new lifestyle which consists of being Mom first and award booker second and everything else a distant third. And it has been wonderful. Really wonderful. But I’ve not carved out time for the blog as I had hoped to. I’m hoping to change that and will now be referring to this month at “Blogtober.” Wish me luck.
Now back to the subject at hand… Chase has upped it’s offer for the Chase Ink Plus Business credit card and it’s a doozy. You get 70,000 Ultimate Rewards after spending $5,000 in the first three months after opening up the card. The normal offer of 50,000 is great, but this one is awesome.
For those of you who are new to this, Ultimate Rewards transfer to many hotel and airline programs like Hyatt, Southwest, British Airways, and United. For example, a roundtrip anywhere in the continental US in coach class on United is 25,000 miles. So, after meeting the spending requirement, this bonus would be good for three roundtrip tickets.
We’ve used Ultimate Rewards for our family trip to Hawaii:
And our trip to St. John, USVI:
And we even transferred some to Southwest for a trip to Disney World:
This is a business card so you do need to have a business or a plan to start one in order to apply. But keep in mind, most everyone has a business of some sort. Whether it’s selling items on Craigslist or Ebay or baking cookies for a bake sale, you may have a business and not even know it. By no means do you need to have a tax ID or an LLC to be qualified.
There is a $95 annual fee associated with this card that is not waived. But the benefits far outweigh this fee. And for those of you who don’t think they can meet that spending requirement, please refer to this post for some ideas on how to achieve it.
Unfortunately, we both have had this card in the past 24 months so we’re not eligible for it again, but if you haven’t had it, I would certainly recommend signing up. This offer will only be around for a limited time and I don’t expect it to come back soon, if ever.
As always, let me know if you have any questions!
**The credit card links in this post do not offer me any commission should you apply and be approved.
